Journal #4: Netiquette
What I found most surprising when it comes to issues around Netiquette is that so many don't follow the rules of how to act on the internet. People are still so carefree when it comes to the internet, they turn a blind eye to cyber bullying and continue to say mean and demeaning things to hurt people. I don't think people concern themselves with the terms of service/use agreements when joining a site because when on the internet people don't really pay attention. I really think they should pay attention to that stuff when they are logging on to sites because you never know what you are up against or what could happen. I would rate my online behavior as a nine out of ten. I don't really say much online or post that much. One thing I would use from this unit to improve my online behavior would be don't use all caps to type, mainly because people would think I am roaring at them. The biggest issue with teens now is cyber bullying. People think it's okay to make people feel bad about themselves because they think it will make them feel better. But this is not correct or the right thing to do.
